The tented camp is situated in the Nyae Nyae Conservancy, at the basin of the Kalahari desert. The Nhoma Safari Camp lies on top of a fossil dune, giving a view over the Nhoma omuramba, a dry river bed. The landscape at the Camp is dominated by big Zambezi trees shading the tented houses and the pathways. At the bottom of the dune the fauna is a combination of a bush and tree savannah.
We offer a fully inclusive option to stay in our safari tents on decks, whereby all meals, drinks and activities are included.
To enable our guests the most immersive experience with the community, we request a minimum of two nights stay. This will give you ample time to make connection with our bushman village and dive into the wisdom and knowledge of the hunters and elders.
Out Safari tents on wooden decks are well spaced and shaded by Zambezi Teak trees. The tents are equipped with double beds with ensuite bathrooms.
In front of the tent is a deck, where guests can sit and enjoy the vistas of big trees, lush vegetation and passing elephants.
Hot water for the tents is provided by wood fired boilers called donkeys.
There are no electrical points in the tents or camp site. Electrical devices can be charged in the Lapa area. The camp is running on solar power only.
The fresh and potable borehole water is pumped with solar energy as well. The water quality gets tested in regular intervals and qualifies as good drinking water quality.
With our booster system we amplify the cell phone signal from the closest radial to provide mobile reception at the main area. Satellite Wi-Fi is available in the Lapa area.
Occasionally, the migrating wild elephants can be seen at the waterhole. The elephants cannot enter the camp's premises as the whole camp is protected with an elephant trench.
Meals and drinks are provided in the central dining area and are included in the price.
